| Virus and Spyware Removal
If your computer is already infected, you have to bring your computer to us
(or call for pickup) so we can quarantine them and get your computer back to
normal. We have sophisticated diagnostics tools that are not available to most
common users and small businesses.
We can remove viruses from Desktop Computers, Laptop Computers, External Hard
Drives, and Flash Drives
Our Process
Step 1:
Isolation of Infection
The first step in removing the virus is "virus isolation", meaning we physically isolate
your computer disk from further infections. This is very important because many
viruses can come back as soon as you remove them. Isolating your computer
prevents this re-infection and it prevents our network getting infected from
customer's viruses.
This step is analogous to taking the patient to the hospital.
Step 2: Diagnosis, Identification, and Removal
After identifying the viruses, we call the customer for authorization to
remove them if such authorization is not already provided. This is because
during the virus removal/quarantine step, depending on the infection, the
operating system might have gotten damaged.
This step is like treating the patient with antidotes and medicine.
Step 3: Back to Nest
The quarantined hard-drive is now placed back in the customer's computer and
booted up. We then run more diagnostics to verify everything is working
properly.
$Waen$ We are able to recover all of customers data files during a virus attack.
In most cases we are able to repair virus infected computers on the same day.
Step 4: Prevention of Recurrence
After removing your infections, we advise you on taking measures on how to
prevent future infections by using an anti-virus software such as F-Secure
or Symantec.
Worst Case Scenario
Depending on the damage caused by the bad guys, a complete re-install of the
Windows Operating System may be required. This is the most expensive part,
because it takes a long time to reinstall all the software, drivers, service
packs, and Windows Updates. However, this is something you can do if you have
the time. We have a high speed T1 connection at our facility and it is probably
faster for us to it than yourself. We will advise you if such a reinstall
(called blow out) is recommended, after we recover all your data.
