If your computer is already infected, you have to bring your computer to us (or please call for pickup) so we can quarantine them and get your computer back to normal. We have sophisticated diagnostics tools that are not available to most common users and small businesses.

We can remove viruses from Desktop Computers, Laptop Computers, External Hard Drives, and Flash Drives.

Most virus removal jobs cost $85.00 (and never more than $170)

Our diagnosis fee includes virus removal, and about 90% of the times we are able to remove the viruses and malwares with that fee and also repair the damage caused by the infection.

There are some occasions when Windows® Operating System is damaged and we need to go extra efforts to rectify the damage caused by a virus so the system works smoothly -- when we will call and obtain your approval -- usually for additional half hour. You can decline this extra charge --at this juncture the virus would have been removed -- if that is something you can perform yourself.

After we remove viruses, we strongly recommend that you obtain an Anti-virus program (you do not have to buy from us; you can probably get it from your work, school, or Costco)

Our Process Ensures No Data Loss

Most computer repair shops (including Geek Squad) can remove your viruses. They will quote you a very low hourly rate, or a flat rate to restore the computer back to the factory setting (known as blow-out or Quick Restore), what they will not tell you is that you will lose all your data in the process.

We believe that your data (your documents, your music, your pictures and your emails) are worth more than the computer. Removing computer viruses without removing the data or program files is a time consuming effort, but we have mastered this technique -- due to the large number of cases that we see.

Our Virus Removal Process Preserves Good Files and Data
We remove only the infections and damaged files.

If your data is backed-up prior to the virus infection, it is cost effective to perform the Quick Restore.

However, if you not have all the original disks of software or patience to reinstall every application, every printer and every setting, you need to call us.

Here are the steps we follow.

Step 1:  Isolation of Infection

The first step in removing the virus is "virus isolation". In this step, we physically isolate your computer disk from further infections. This is very important because many viruses can come back as soon as you remove them. Isolating your computer prevents this re-infection and it prevents our network getting infected from customer's viruses.

This step is analogous to taking the patient to the hospital. The hospital will make sure that the patient is not spreading the disease.

Step 2: Diagnosis, Identification, and Removal

After identifying the viruses, we call the customer for authorization to remove them if such authorization is not already provided. This is because during the virus removal/quarantine step, depending on the infection, the operating system might have gotten damaged.

This step is like treating the patient with antidotes and medicine. The patient is informed of side-effects.

Step 3: Back to the Nest

The quarantined hard-drive is now placed back in the customer's computer and booted up. We then run more diagnostics to verify everything is working properly.

We are able to recover all of customers data files during a virus attack.

In most cases we are able to repair virus infected computers within one business day.

Step 4: Prevention of Recurrence

After removing your infections, we advise you on taking measures on how to prevent future infections by using an anti-virus software such as F-Secure or Symantec.

Worst Case Scenario

Depending on the damage caused by the bad guys, a complete re-install of the Windows Operating System may be required. This is the most expensive scenario, because it takes a long time to reinstall all the software, drivers, service packs, and Windows Updates. However, this is something you can do if you have the time. We have a high speed T1 connection at our facility and it is probably faster for us to it than yourself. We will advise you if such a reinstall (called blow out) is recommended, after we recover all your data.
