Pitfalls of Moving IT to a New Location
- Many small business owners use their personal email with business email.
If you cancel some services, personal email or services can get affected.
This is the biggest problem we see.
- Change in the network addressing can cause problems or even
incompatibilities. If you are moving to a facility that provides Internet as
part of the rent, beware!
- Expect delays and problems -- the different service providers have their
own schedules and might not follow what you have in mind! Plan ahead and
expect that it won't be done in time.
- If you get a new router or firewall, they would need reconfiguration. It
is best to adhere to the same manufacturers, because our technicians can
usually transfer the settings to new equipment
