Based on our experience, data recovery costs between $85.00 to $500.00 and depends on the size of the hard drive, type of failure, attempts required to recover data.
We require a diagnosis fee before we can attempt to recover the data, because the technicians have to "look at" the drive to determine the cause and damage.

Many types of crashes are correctable via software tools (corrupted Master Boot Record, lost partition, bad sector recovery).
